Our second meal here with another big family group. Afghan food is delicious, Choupan is a lovely comfortable place to enjoy it. The staff were really helpful again so we could order a good mix of dishes to suit everyone.

Very disappointing experience after my third visit three times and unfortunately, this last visit has left me extremely disappointed.
I visited on Saturday and ordered the Zereshk Polo with the baby chicken. Since eating the meal, both my sister and I have been suffering from severe diarrhoea that has continued every day since, including today. It has been awful, especially waking up during the night and having to deal with it.
I couldn’t finish my meal, so I gave some to my sister. She only had a small amount but unfortunately she has experienced the same symptoms. The main thing we both had from the meal was the sauce served with the chicken and rice, which makes me concerned that there may have been an issue with the food.
This is particularly disappointing because this was my third visit. I’ve clearly enjoyed the restaurant enough to come back, so I’m not someone who wanted to leave a negative review. However, after what we have experienced since Saturday, I feel I have to be honest about my experience.
I hope to hear from someone at the restaurant, as I would much rather resolve this positively and hopefully be able to return in the future.- Group size

Excellent and delicious, and the service was great. The Dipaza dish was very good. The Bukhari rice with ribs, meat, and kebabs was all excellent.

Authentic afgan food, service was pretty nice they gave the little ones lollipops while waiting food was amazing I’ve never had anything like it, was like 6-7 mins away from me… the tea was nice and the meat was cooked to perfection

Service started off well, on our food being given, there was a hair on the food, we politely and quietly asked the manager/waiter to replace it and he became very difficult and showed a very rude attitude, suggesting he will replace the rice, not the meat, the hair was on the meat, also commented whether we still wanted to eat there (which was random), it was unnecessarily escalated, they did eventually replace the plate, but there was no apology.
Would I revisit, no, the attitude of the guy with long hair is poor, he needs to learn to apologise for kitchen mistakes and resolve issues without getting aggressive.

Delicious food and great service at Choupan! We had the Kabuli Pulao and Kobideh Kebab both were full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommend for authentic Afghan/persian cuisine! Arsh and Farsh are Stars ✨ 🌟

I’ve been coming to Choupan Restaurant for over 15 years, and the food has always been consistently fresh and delicious. Fash and his dad are wonderful people—friendly, welcoming, and they always make you feel at home. A true gem that I’ll keep coming back to!

Food is nice but a can of drink for 2.50 each is a total rip off, also prices are a bit steep too! £75 for 4 mains in cheethamhill is crazy
